George Mitchell Nature Preserve

State on a nature adventure at The George Mitchell Nature Preserve! With miles of hike and bike trails and direct exposure to native plants and wildlife this 1,800 area preserve connects to the surrounding forest known as the Spring Creek Greenway. The George Mitchell Nature Preserve can be accessed at the Flintridge Drive trailhead, near The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park and Texas TreeVentures, an outdoor aerial adventure course.  The Woodlands Texas Information.

Consists of 2 main hiking trail loops and 3 miles of bike trails.

The Flintridge Drive trailhead at the George Mitchell Nature Preserve in The Woodlands Village of Indian Springs has three miles of single-tract bike trails along with a wider two mile path loop. The natural-surface, sustainable, single track bike trails were created by S & S Trails out of Austin, Texas. An extra 5 miles of rustic routes are readily available at the Creekside Forest Drive trailhead in The Woodlands Village of Creekside Park.
