Telge Park
Telge Park is a 111 Acre Harris County park located in Cypress, TX just northwest of Houston. Located on the northern bank of Cypress Creek, a majority of the property is a wetland habitat with plentiful wildlife. In the beginning look the park may seem to most as a little neighborhood park. Only upon travelling through the natural surface strolling tracks will visitors fully appreciate its’ large size. Visitors ought to know that much of the park’s land remains in the floodplain and is prone to flooding during big rain occasions. The park lies at 12400 Pleasant Grove Road, just off Telge Rd at the entryway to the neighborhood of Enchanted Valley. It has to do with a 2 mile drive north of US 290, around 5 miles west of FM 1960. The parks’ 111 Acres run along the northern edge of Cypress Creek.
In addition to the natural setting of the densely wooded acreage, the park boasts picnic locations, a paved walk, a play ground and washrooms. One picnic area is covered, however, the whole park is shaded by well established trees. The primary facilities are fenced off from the park’s small parking lot and surrounding street, keeping little ones from roaming into traffic.
